USUALLY, THE PROBLEM(S) REQUIRING ADMISSION TO OUTPATIENT HOSPITAL "OBSERVATION STATUS" ARE OF LOW SEVERITY. TYPICALLY, 30 MINUTES ARE SPENT AT THE BEDSIDE AND ON THE PATIENT'S HOSPITAL FLOOR OR UNIT.
